Hi, everyone! Welcome to my site and my first blog post. I hope you all enjoy it!
Why I started blogging.
This idea came into my head after much thinking and praying. I find that I feel much freedom when I write my feelings, emotions, and really anything on my mind down. There’s just something about seeing your inner feelings and passions physically after recording. I want to share many topics with you all and invite you into my life to see just what I do on a daily basis. I plan on elaborating on many subjects such as recipes, day in the life posts, breastfeeding tips, and much more!
My struggle with postpartum depression (PPD)
I have always had struggles in the past with panic disorder and anxiety. After I had my daughter, my second baby, those struggles began to magnify immeasurably. It began with deep feelings of sorrow and hopelessness and grew into an absolute nightmare. I won’t go too much into detail because I plan on creating a post about it. All I can remember is feeling so unaccompanied and out of place. I recall reading blogs of other mamas just like me and that was one of the tools I used to get me through each day. Knowing that there are moms out there who have overcome the same dark cloud that hung over my head showed me I wasn’t alone. I want to be a woman who can shine a light on anyone, it may even be you reading this today, I want you to know that you are not alone. There is always hope and we can get through this Together.
The joy of motherhood
I have two precious babies who I am honored to raise. Trust me, it’s not always rainbows and butterflies. There are days when I stay in bed until 9 am. There are days when I accomplish nothing with exception to keeping my kids alive. There are even days when I just go nearly insane! (Seriously coffee is my BFF). But no matter how “bad” my day may be or how exhausted I am, at the end of the day, it’s what I live for and what keeps my husband and me going!
I want to thank you for taking your time to read my post. I hope that you will stay tuned and we can be friends! Comments and emails are always welcome.
