This is a super yummy staple for our family. I love having these biscuits with supper or breakfast because they’re so simple and delicious. I actually made them tonight to go with our meal. Scratch-made biscuits.
Yield: 6-8 servings
Prep time: About 5 minutes
Total time: Approx. 20 minutes
Ingredients
Flour | 2 cups
Baking powder | 1 Tbsp
Salt | 1 Tsp
Sugar | 1 Tbsp
Butter | 1/3 Cup
Cold milk| 1 Cup
Directions
Pre-heat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix dry ingredients.
Cut butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture has the texture similar to cornmeal.
Incorporate the milk by adding small amounts at a time to the mixture until combined. Don’t over mix.
Place dough onto floured surface and knead about 10 times.
Roll out dough and cut with a biscuit cutter or floured glass brim.
Toss into the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and enjoy!
Special Diet Information
To make this recipe dairy-free, simply replace the butter with shortening and the milk with almond milk. It’s just as delicious!
